Goatfest: a new craft beer and music festival for East Lothian

Haddington Rugby Football Club (HRFC) is delighted to announce the line-up for Goatfest, our first craft beer and music festival.

Goatfest, named after Haddington’s iconic goat emblem, will take place on 20th May 23 at Neilson Park in front of the Haddington Rugby Club, from 12-6pm, with local classic rock band Steeler headlining the event.

In partnership with local award-winning craft beer company Winton Brewery, Goatfest will feature the very best of local craft beer and East Lothian’s finest street food and drink.

Bob Snodgrass, Event Organiser, Haddington RFC, said: “After 112 years, Haddington RFC remain at the heart of the local community and Goatfest is the latest in the long list of high-profile events organised by Haddington RFC.”

Alongside headline act, Steeler, six other well-known acts will be performing throughout the afternoon: Norrie Innes, Auld Hat, Dean Jones, Moontrip Punx, Hassel & The Hoffs.

Derek Cadogan, band member with Steeler, said, “The band are delighted to be asked to headline Goatfest this year and share the stage with the other great acts. We’ve been hard at work rehearsing a set of new numbers, which we are sure will get the crowd singing and dancing along. We are looking forward to helping Haddington RFC make this a day to remember.”

A pre-opener (1130-12pm) features Knox Academy Senior Band, with Ben Gentle, a talented teenage drummer hoping to head to Berklee College of Music, US., after the summer.
