We had to call-off the 2nds last week with no team and only played the week before with nine players after a herculean effort of chasing by Gavin Harper. The 9 of us did have a cracking game, thanks to Sonians bringing extra.

This is despite us having around 80 players who have said they will or might play to cover the 1sts and 2nds.

With this number we should be able to get two teams out, and still accommodate those who do not wish to play every week, or indeed a whole game.

We are not alone in our league five other games have so far been called off because one or more teams were short.

This is therefore a call to arms to rescue the 2nds.

We are using various communication channels to make contact.

All we ask is the following:

Please confirm whether you would like to play some rugby (ideally also frequency and duration).
Please let us know how best to contact you (preferably mass email or group text/Whatsapp is easiest for Gav and I) but open to offers.
Please encourage anyone else to do so.
