With ourselves and Broughton both opening their seasons with 5 point wins it’s all to play for on Saturday. The weather forecast is very promising for Saturday so we look forward to welcoming Broughton’s Coach Alex McCutcheon and his team to Neilson Park. As a former Haddington Captain and good servant of the club, we wish him well in his role at Wardie.

Not only was I delighted with our win last weekend, the manner of our performance brought a smile to my face and that of many other of the teams loyal support it can’t be bad when your back 3 share 6 tries. That surely speaks volumes of the players and coaches intent to attack in the wider channels.

Last weeks notes mentioned we’d new starts and some returning players and I’m delighted to report that all came through the Portobello game with reputations enhanced. As a whole, the team delivered as good a performance as I’ve seen for a while perhaps as good as the Ross High home match last season. Onwards and Upwards
