The loss left head coach frustrated by a number of errors which cost his side tries.

The Haddington coach said: "There were obviously positives to take from the way our pack performed at times today but to lose so heavily is very disappointing.

"There was a recklessness in our decision making at times and Howe of Fife took advantage - and fair play to them for that."

Mark Morrison, promoted following an impressive outing for the 2nds last weekend, got the visitors' only try.

Nick Bell, recalled to the starting line-up in place of the unavailable Euan Heroes at inside centre, added the conversion, but by the time Morrison crossed the game was over as a contest.

It was always going to need a tough ask for the Reds as the much-fancied Fifers were on a high following their 91-0 trouncing of Aberdeenshire last weekend.
