Craig was quick to praise the efforts of the young side, as they returned to winning form following defeat to Musselburgh last time out.
He said: "We are proud of the way the players stuck to the task in hand
against a young and very committed Hawick YM team.
"Once again our pack of forwards put in a power of work to lay the foundations for the win."
The club scored five tries, with scrum-half Liam Clutton marked an impressive performance behind a strong Haddington pack with a couple of tries, while Callum Cockburn also went over.
There was another score from last season's top try scorer, James Ferguson, who is on course to repeat his feat once again this campaign, while powerful number eight Callum Champion crashed over to secure the bonus-point win.
The rest of the points came from the kicking tee as stand-off Nick Bell converted three tries and added another three penalties to secure an impressive away-day victory for Bryan Craig side.
Clutton's performance behind a strong Haddington pack was made all the more impressive given the changes made by the coaching staff - with Graham Paris, Alex Spence and Mike Legget all unavailable from the derby loss to Musselburgh.
That meant starts for Phill Smith and Kris Paterson, while Sandy McCutcheon was also recalled into the back-row.
The two sides battled hard throughout, with the Reds maintaining control through the boot of stand-off Bell. It took until the final quarter for the visitors to make their breakthrough and when they did, the tries continued to come.
Coaches and fans alike will hope the run continues this weekend, as the Reds return to Neilson Park to take on Murrayfield Wanderers, who were comfortably beaten by Howe of Fife last weekend.
